AFX (Australia France Exchange) is a family business, based in Paris and Melbourne which specialises in organising cultural program between France and Australia for High School students and beyond.
AFX offers a wild range of programs and by participating in one of them you will improve your French language skills, meet new friends and experience the French way of life.
Every member of our team is French or Australian native speaker, speaks both languages, has lived in both countries and has been involved with student exchange programs as a participant, host or organiser.
Therefore AFX truly understands what is required to make your program a beneficial, unique and unforgettable experience.

AFX organises for Australian participants to be hosted in a French family, with a correspondent of the same age and same interests. Most of our families are based in Paris but we can organise some placements in the country side as well.
AFX personally visits all Australian and French candidates and host families, carefully matches students according to age, interests and personality.
Reciprocal Exchange Program « Two Way »There are two reciprocal exchange programs with AFX - 5 weeks or 10 weeks. The Australian family hosts the French student for the same duration as the Australian student’s stay with the French family. Whilst in the host country, the exchange student will go to school with a child of the hosting family and is completely integrated into the French family.

One Way Exchange Program « One Way »There are limited opportunities for one-way exchange programs, where an Australian student will spend a minimum of 4 weeks with a French family. Whilst in the host country, the Australian student will go to school with a child of the hosting family and is completely integrated into the French family.

Host a French studentIf you are interested in hosting a French student, experiencing many of the benefits of exchange without sending your children to France, AFX organises Australian families to host French students. Host families must have a child of the same age (14-17 years) as the French student.

AFX offers "gap-year" style programs open to people over 18 yo but also organises programs open to any candidates wishing to know more about France, its culture and language.
Be a Au Pair in FranceThis program provides all the elements of a cultural exchange. The candidate is integrated into a French family for the duration of the stay and will become an important part of the family.

Be an English Tutor in FranceAs an English tutor you will live with a French family and teach them English. This is also a great program for people who want to experience life in France and the French culture in depth.The program has a focus on cultural exchange and host families are not only excited to learn English but also love to share the of their amazing country, culture and cuisine.

Language Lessons and Cultural Tour in FranceDesigned for individuals, groups and families, this program takes place in the most luxurious district of the center of Paris. Classes will be in the morning. In the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to partake in various activities and lessons in and around Paris. At weekends, longer excursions are organised outside of Paris. This program can be customised to your requirements.
